Chris Spannagel

Spannagel Trade Consulting is an independent plumbing consulting practice led by Chris Spannagel. I'm a master plumber with more than three decades of hands-on experience across residential and commercial plumbing in Arizona and Colorado. I founded my first Arizona plumbing company in 2007 and acquired Dewey's Plumbing in 2015, operating licensed plumbing businesses for nearly two decades — giving me direct experience not only in the field, but in the business, licensing, and compliance side of the trade.

My field experience spans new construction, service and repair, water systems, gas systems, boilers, solar, and the code compliance, licensing, and business operations that go along with running licensed plumbing companies. That background covers both residential and commercial work, across a wide range of project types and conditions.

I am the qualifying individual associated with Arizona ROC license #366924, CR-77 classification (plumbing including solar, residential and commercial). I bring this field-tested expertise to attorneys, insurers, contractors, and property owners who need authoritative plumbing judgment — without the guesswork.

My expert witness work draws on that same background: reviewing workmanship, failures, causation, and industry standards against what the code and accepted trade practice actually require. I provide clear, well-documented written reports and am available for deposition and trial testimony. I work with both plaintiff and defense counsel, insurers, and public adjusters.
